The importance of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness is key to your future success.  Learn how Junior Achievement can help you develop successful financial management skills, explore the potential of becoming an entrepreneur, and provide you with the skills necessary to succeed in a global economy.  Since 1955, over 3.8 million Canadians have called themselves an “Achiever”.

Students in Grade 9-12 have the opportunity to participate in our After School Company Program where they are teamed up with students like themselves from around Chatham-Kent and Sarnia Lambton.

This year we will have 4 companies - 2 in Chatham-Kent and 2 in Sarnia Lambton that will be competing for the "Company of the Year" title!  In their companies they will create a business plan, choose a product, develop a marketing plan and complete a market research project.  They will produce and sell their products in hopes to reach a break even point and start making a profit.

Many skills are gained through this program including:  Presentation, Management, Organization, Communication, Problem Solving and so much more.

Throughout the year over $100,000 in National Busaries are made available through our head office and this year (2012-2013) we will be handing out over $6,000 locally to students involved in this program!  Ask us how!

Finally, at the end of April we bring all 4 companies together for our end of the year banquet where we celebrate and hand out individual and corporate awards along with our local bursaries and seats to the Next Generations Leadership conference taking place at St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia this year!

Are you up for the challenge?  Can you run a company in to success in only 21 weeks?  Register for the program today and learn to be an Entrepreneur!
